Seashells a finalist in the 2010 WA Tourism Awards

Seashells Hospitality Group is excited to make the finals of the 2010 WA Tourism Awards.

We are a finalist in the Tourism Marketing category for our brand refresh, launched in November 2009.

Following research, workshops and industry liaison, we adopted our fresh new brand identity to more accurately represent our range of 4.5 star AAA rated, deluxe apartments located along the West Australian coastline.

The new brand embraces the connection each Seashells property has with the ocean, as well as being a bit whimsical and down-to-earth.  The design continues to incorporate a Nautilus Shell, used in the original logo, as its original connections with the property are still relevant today.

The brand refresh also included new product photography, redesigned marketing collateral, website, signage and display banners, stationery, car decals, e-newsletter, promotional and retail items and will eventually include uniforms and other branded property items.

Winners of the WA Tourism Awards will be announced on Saturday 20th November at a Gala Dinner to be held at the Burswood Entertainment Complex.

Seashells Mandurah is a fashionable choice

Seashells Mandurah provided the perfect backdrop for the Perth Fashion Festival Swimwear parade in September.

Stylist Sylvia Giacci chose Seashells Mandurah to be the setting for a film shoot to introduce the sold-out parade.

There were seven local swimwear labels on display, including Bernice Sara who had already experienced the delights of Seashells Mandurah, selecting the venue for her first fashion shoot in 2009.

The show was held at the Old Gasworks Building and was the festival’s first swimwear parade.  Other WA labels featured were Kooey, Amore & Sorvete, Cebiche, Miss Erika, Ocean Zone and We Heart Vintage.

Seashells is proud to support Western Australia’s creative talents.

Business as usual for Seashells Yallingup & Caves House

MEDIA RELEASE

Business as usual for Seashells Yallingup and Caves House

Seashells Hospitality Group, which operates Caves House Hotel and Seashells Yallingup as part of its award-winning Western Australian property group, will operate as usual during the sale of Caves House.

The historic hotel is on the market following Yallingup Ridge Pty Ltd, an entity established for the purpose of developing the Seashells Yallingup Resort and adjoining lands, was placed into the hands of the receivers late in 2009.

This appointment had no effect on the day-to-day trading of either Seashells Yallingup Resort or Caves House Pty Ltd. These properties are completely separate entities and they continue to trade as they have in the past.

Seashells Hospitality Group is not connected to the receivership of Yallingup Ridge Pty Ltd other than it manages Caves House and this will continue until such time as a purchaser is confirmed.

The sale has come about as a result of the global financial crisis with banks stopping lending prior to the development of the additional stages.

Over the past six months, a consortium of investors has been assembled by Accommodation West working with CB Richard Ellis. This consortium has purchased all unsold Seashells Yallingup apartments and placed them in the letting pool with Seashells.

This same consortium of owners is also seeking to extend their interest further by purchasing from the receivers the Caves House property and adjoining development land. This process involves the Receiver advertising the remaining properties, being Caves House and the adjoining development land, for sale by expression of interest.

Seashells manages and markets a range of 4 1/2 star AAA rated, apartment-style tourism accommodation in Yallingup, Mandurah, Scarborough and Broome.
