Executive Team

PAUL KING | Managing Director
Seashells Hospitality GroupPaul has hospitality and tourism in his blood and a passion for Western Australia.

He founded Seashells Hospitality Group after many years in hotel and hospitality management.

Paul trained in hotel management in the 1970s with Commodore Hotels and worked in the industry throughout Australia and New Zealand before becoming licensee of the well-known Perth meeting place the Chelsea Tavern in the late ‘70s.

Always an entrepreneur, Paul left the hospitality industry for a time pursuing a career in real estate and saw an opportunity for tourism property management and development of the Scarborough beachfront in the early 1980s.

He went on to create strata-titled tourism project management opportunities in WA and establish the multi-award-winning Seashells business, which has grown to include properties running the length of coastal Western Australia. Paul has plans to extend the Group throughout the country.

Paul is President of the tourism industry’s leading independent advocacy group, Tourism Council of Western Australia, a position he has held for the past three years, and is a firm advocate of the economic opportunities tourism can present in Western Australia.
