A cattle auction that will make a difference to local charities
CowParade Margaret River, the world’s largest public art event, has been a great success to date and we’ve seen many additional people visit us at Yallingup to see our beautiful cows designed by West Australian artists Kylie Porter-Rath and Emma Blyth.
At the end of CowParade Margaret River, all the ‘udderly’ fabulous pieces of cow art will be auctioned off for the benefit of non-profit charities and environmental projects. This is a chance for people to not only bid for their favourite bovine, but also the only opportunity to see most of the herd together the final time.
The money raised from the sale of Seashells’ beautiful cows ‘Lashbrook’ and ‘Our Great Kimberley’, portraying colourful West Australian scenes, will be donated to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. We’d love to see them being amongst the highest fundraisers.
The live auction will be held at Signal Park, Busselton, on 10 July 2010. Viewing of the cows commences at 3.00pm with the auction kicking off at 4.30pm.
Tickets to the Live Cow Auction are available only from the Margaret River and Busselton Visitor Centres. For $55, guests get the chance to bid, enjoy drinks and canapés, and witness a memorable finale to CowParade Margaret River. Numbers are strictly limited and the event is sure to sell out. To secure your ticket call 08 9780 5911 or email welcome@margaretriver.com
The remainder of the cows will be sold online at www.tradeaway.com.au with bidding opening on Saturday 10 July and closing on Monday 19 July. This is a great opportunity for those who can’t make it to the live auction to get their hands on a beautiful bovine!
CowParade charity auctions around the world have generated more than $25 million and we hope that this event will make a big difference to the non-profit beneficiaries of CowParade Margaret River. These auctions will benefit a variety of charities and non-profit organisations.
CowParade Margaret River runs from March – June throughout the Margaret River region. For more information on the event and the auction visit www.margaretriver.com.
