Caves House announced as 2011 AHA finalist
Caves House Hotel in Yallingup, managed by the Seashells Hospitality Group, has been selected as a finalist for two awards in the 2011 AHA Hotel and Hospitality Awards for Excellence.
The prestigious awards acknowledge excellence in the hotel and hospitality industry throughout Western Australia, recognising the finest in hotels, accommodation
, employees, dining and entertainment venues.
Caves House Hotel has been named as a finalist for WA’s Best Regional Hotel. The award is open to any regional hotel and focuses on all aspects of the business from tourism appeal, to food and entertainment and community contributions.
Amandah Ellis, the Functions and Events Co-ordinator at Caves House Hotel and Seashells Yallingup, has also been named as a finalist for the AHA – HGT Hotel Industry Rising Star Award.
Seashells Managing Director Paul King said that since the restoration of the hotel in 2006, the venue had moved forward in leaps and bounds.
“Caves House is an important hotel for Yallingup and South West locals, as well as the many West Australians who have had wedding celebrations, long weekends and special occasions there over the years.
“People have a strong attachment to the hotel and it is great to see recognition for our recent change in direction to create a new family-friendly dining style.
“It is also rewarding to have a member of our team recognised for her achievements with the Hotel and the hospitality industry.
“Amandah has been a part of the Seashells Group since 2008 and is a valuable contributor to the success of the Hotel,” Paul said.
Seashells Hospitality Group have previously been finalists in the AHA Awards and Seashells Yallingup won the Apartment/Suite Accommodation Award in 2010.
This years winners will be announced on 7 November 2011.
