Sarah awarded for her contribution to tourism
Seashells Hospitality Group’s Sales and Marketing Coordinator Sarah Dudek has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to Australia’s export tourism industry.
The annual Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC) Excellence Awards were held in Perth last month and Sarah received the Len Taylor Young ATEC Award for Leadership for 2017. The national award recognises exemplary leadership demonstrated by a young member. Sarah is a graduate of ATEC’s ELITE Program.
ATEC Chairman Denis Pierce said Sarah was a fantastic example of leadership in the tourism sector and a valuable asset to the industry.
“Sarah is passionate about the tourism industry and she has been instrumental in revitalising WA’s Young ATEC network since she took over the role of chair in 2015 leading the organisation of mentoring events for Young ATEC members in WA with enthusiasm and passion,” he said.
Sarah has been with Seashells for five years and has also worked for Pinctada, the Prendiville Group and Rendezvous in WA.
She has developed relationships with regional and state tourism organisations, Tourism Council Western Australia, Perth Convention Bureau and ATEC and attends local industry events. She also participates in travel industry workshops to maintain a current knowledge of the industry. Sarah became a Young ATEC member in 2013 and took on the Chair role for WA in 2015.
