Q. How long is the Gift Voucher valid for?
A. Seashells Gift Vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from date of purchase, however should the expiry date lapse, for a small administration fee, an extension can be made (this must be done prior to the expiry date).
Q. In what denominations are Gift Vouchers sold?
A. Seashells Gift Vouchers can be purchased in values from $100 to $1000.
Q. Do I have to nominate which Seashells property I would like to purchase the Gift Voucher for?
A. No, a generic Gift Voucher can be purchased that can be redeemed at any of our participating properties.  Choose 'Any Seashells Property' when making your purchase.
Q. How long will it take for the Gift Voucher to arrive?
A. Seashells offers three methods of delivery for Gift Vouchers:

Email offers the quickest delivery.  When choosing email delivery, the Gift Voucher is dispatched automatically to the recipient email address specified once the payment has been finalised.  Should you wish to have the voucher sent to your email address, please enter the preferred email instead of the recipient email address.

For Standard Post delivery, the Gift Voucher will be sent by Australia Post Standard Post.  This Regular Letters service, covers all of Australia and the voucher should be delivered between 2 and 6 business days after posting.  For delivery in Western Australia, the Metro area is up to 3 business days and Country is up to 4 business days.  For other states, the estimated delivery is up to 5 business days for Metro Areas and up to 6 business days for Country. The Gift Voucher will be sent to the address entered.  Should you wish to have the voucher sent to you, please enter your delivery address instead of the recipient's.  Please note that tracking is not provided on this option.

For Express Post delivery, the Gift Voucher will be sent by Australia Post Express Post.  This service covers 80% of all Australian business addresses, private addresses and Post Office Boxes, and offers Next Business Day Delivery within the Australia Post Express Post Network.  Australia Post advises the service operates between all capital cities (except Darwin and in Perth CBD only) and some major centres.  Outside metropolitan areas guaranteed service is to and from townships only.  If the address is outside the Express post network, it will still be delivered via the fastest possible transport links but it won't be covered by the Next Day Guarantee.

Seashells encourages purchaser's to refer to the Australia Post delivery services for further information prior to selecting their delivery method.

Q. Are there any additional charges for buying the Gift Voucher
A. Yes. At the time of your purchase a once off administration charge of 3% is calculated and charged to your credit card. There are no additional charges unless you spend more than your voucher is worth at the property.. These extra charges would then be paid upon check-out.
Q. Do I have freedom of choice of dates for my reservation?
A. All accommodation and other services by Seashells Properties are strictly subject to availability at the time of booking.
Q. Do I need to quote my Gift Voucher number when making my reservation?
A. Reservations using a gift voucher must be made online via the Seashells website seashells.com.au.  The voucher number must be entered in the Gift Voucher field on the payment page along with payment details at the time of making the initial booking.  This notifies the property of the intention to use the gift voucher towards the booking.

Acceptance of the gift voucher entered on a reservation as payment is subject to final verification by the property upon receipt of the booking.

Q. What type of accommodation will I receive?
A. As your Gift Voucher is a dollar value you may put the amount toward any room type you wish, subject to availability.
Q. Am I able to upgrade my accommodation?
A. Yes – subject to availability, you may upgrade your room type for an additional charge.
Q. What if I don’t have my Gift Voucher with me when checking in?
A. You must produce your emailed or original Gift Voucher to the Seashells Reception desk upon arrival. If you have misplaced your Voucher and are unable to produce it upon check-in, then you must pay for your accommodation. In this instance the voucher can be used at a future date (before the expiry date).
Q. What if I have lost my Gift Voucher?
A. Seashells Gift Vouchers are not replaceable if lost, stolen or destroyed, photocopied or altered Gift Vouchers will not be accepted by Seashells or be otherwise redeemable.
Q. What if the cost of my stay at Seashells is more than the value of the Gift Voucher?
A. Should you spend more than the value of your Gift Voucher, Seashells will invoice you for the difference and this must be paid upon check-out.
Q. Can my Gift Voucher be redeemed for cash?
A. Your Seashells Gift Voucher cannot be redeemed for cash and must be used for accommodation at the participating properties.  Should the participating property directly offer additional services or food and beverage chargebacks then your voucher may be used towards payment of these.
