Short St Gallery is Broome's premier art gallery, located in the heart of Chinatown in a 100-year old dwelling, packed with character. Short Street specialises in Aboriginal art sourcing works from remote Indigenous communities and art centres from the Kimberley, Tiwi Islands and throughout regional Australia. The gallery team seeks to educate visitors on the diversity of the different cultures which make up the Kimberley and Australia. From the saltwater to the freshwater to the desert people, Short Street offers a glimpse of the extremely dynamic landscape which is Australian art.
Is an exciting gallery dedicated to unique artworks inspired by the Kimberley. Located in Old Broome, with a smaller outlet now open in Mandurah, Black Stump exhibits a wide range of works in various media and locally inspired Australian made art and gifts.
Black Stump Gallery brings together select artists who showcase their own interpretation to this captivating region.

Shopaholics

The Broome Courthouse Markets are held in the beautiful Heritage listed gardens of the Broome Courthouse. Started over 25 years ago by a small group of locals wishing to trade local product, they have grown to become a major tourist attraction in Broome and host up to 115 creative stalls over the Dry Season. Trading every Saturday all year and Sunday from April – September 8am to 1pm, the local markets attracts visitors from far and wide.

Staircase to the Moon
Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon which occurs when a full moon rises over the exposed tidal flats of Roebuck Bay. To view dates visit Broome Visitor Centre
The first two days of Staircase to the Moon generally also play host to the Staircase to the Moon markets at Town Beach. Here you can sample local produce, buy hand made products, a variety of international food, and enjoy the sounds of local entertainers. Another popular spot to view the event is The Mangrove Hotel Resort, with live entertainment every Staircase night.
Established in 1988 by scientists who recognised the immense value of Roebuck Bay for migratory shorebirds.
Broome Bird Observatory is a research and education facility dedicated to promoting knowledge and understanding of the amazing birdlife of this region.
The Clive Minton Discovery Centre is open 8am-4pm daily, offering camping tours and accommodation.
Crab Creek Road, Broome

Great day tour to learn everything there is to know about crocodiles in their natural environment. Feeding tour 3pm daily. The park is home to breathtakingly colourful birdlife, a cassowary, kangaroos, euros and wallabies, as well as emus, jabirus, snakes and lizards. Open year-round.

Broome is famous for the 130 million year old Dinosaur Footprints which can be seen at very low tides at Gantheaume Point. The footprints can be seen at Gantheaume Point at tides below 2.16m. Due to the location of the footprints, A high level of mo-bility and appropriate footwear is required.

Cable Beach Camel Rides

Broome's Town Beach has a new kids water park! The colourful, interactive experience reflects the Kimberley environment and provides a bespoke water play experience for children of all ages and abilities. Open Monday-Sunday 8.30am-5pm (closed Tuesdays).

Broome Explorer Bus - One of the easiest and cheapest ways to see Broome.
Conveniently running daily March to December (and 6 days per week January and February), with bus stops near all major accommodation on the way to Town Beach, Chinatown, Boulevard Shops and Cable Beach. There is a stop right outside Seashells.
Hop-on Hop-off passes provide great value with unlimited travel for 24 or 72 hours.
